So, the year is ending again, and this is also the time to be happy, joyful and festive. For me this year was really special, interlaced between personal wins and business challenges that kept me moving from the beginning to this moment called the end. However, this particular end is not the real end – it’s just a beginning again. Do you want to know why?

Let me first explain you what I have achieved this year only by following the heart and passion. At last!

As many of you know, I entered this year with (finally) fully written manuscript of my first book – the book for men on how to love a modern woman. I established enthusiastic campaign on Kickstarter to raise funds for the translation of my (Slovenian) manuscript. I gathered help from more than 70 supporters that pledged more than € 7 000. That wasn’t enough and I left the scene without money, but, however, not without a success. After I finished my campaign, I realized that more than 90% of my supporters were Slovenes that really wanted to read my book. Therefore, I borrowed some money from my parents and self-published Slovenian version on April 23^rd. Already in the first month of sale, I have sold more than 120 books, and thus I raised enough money for further promotion, brand development, and, to be honest, for my further courage. Until the end of this year, I already have printed three editions of Slovenian version Awakening Her, I had more than ten presentations, and I have sold almost 500 books all by myself. This is a lot; if we take into account that average edition published by bigger publisher in Slovenia is 500 books.

Soon after the campaign on Kickstarter, something else happened simultaneously with my self-publishing. A book agent that was interested to represent my book on English-speaking markets contacted me. That was almost magical, because I know how hard can be for an unknown writer to get attention from book agents. After that, I needed the money for professional (and very good) translation of at least 50 pages of Awakening Her. Therefore, I established another campaign, this time on the platform without special requirements, GoFundMe. Some of my foreign supporters from Kickstarter gave me some funds immediately, which, I had to admit, surprised me very positively! In the first month of campaign on GoFundMe, I have raised enough money to start with the translation.

And so, we come to the part where I conclude my post with sincere happiness and gratefulness. THE TRANSLATION IS PREPARED and the contract with the agent is signed. Now we all need just a little more patience to wait for the right publisher who will publish Awakening Her worldwide. I believe that will happen in the year that comes! Now, after so many great feedbacks in Slovenia, I confidently know the book is very good, and it deserves to be delivered in every single bookshop in the world. It deserves to be read by curious readers all around the globe. Men. Women. People who are looking for that simple little message of love.

So, the year is ending again. It is ending well and promising. I look forward to start another successful year. I look forward to achieve the goal from my Kickstarter campaign soon. I look forward to get your feedback, after you will finally be able to read Awakening Her!

The Slovenian version is already published, but I still wish to publish the book worldwide so I am trying to raise money for proper translation. Additionally, the great news is that I already have found the book agent who is happy to represent my book on foreign markets.

Society today has lost its natural purpose. We strive for more worldly things without seeing that we already have everything we need inside us. We want to complicate the most simple things, such as love, understanding, and compassion. Therefore, our relationships have become complicated.

The book carries a very special message on finding the essence of our existence within ourselves, simply by being a loving man or a loving woman.

Don’t forget that our purpose as human beings is to learn how to love, no matter what anyone else tries to tell you. They might want you to believe that love is an illusion of happiness and that being selfish is what will be vital for your survival in today’s society. The essence is hidden in our hearts. When a woman loves a man and a man loves a woman, magic happens. The love that they can offer is different, but when they become one, they achieve the purpose of humanity.

The official beginning of my writing career is finally here!

Awakening Her was written for men and aims to reveal the path to a woman’s heart, which can sometimes be quite complicated. My plan is to publish the book, but in order to do that, I need your help on Kickstarter.

My Kickstarter campaign is active right now and I am trying to get supporters from all around the world.

I am sitting on the upper floor of the Impact Hub Vienna and listening the buzz of creative people around me. They are all working on their business stories with special meanings. You know, the kind of stories that have a higher purpose than just making money. Instead, they are a way of life. I found this place three months ago, right after I finished planning out my Kickstarter campaign. Since then, more people that could potentially play a role in the story of Awakening Her have appeared in front of me – one after the other. That’s good, right?

It’s strange how I have been looking for ways to achieve something spectacular for my whole life. Why? I don’t know. I can’t explain it with words. But there is a strong desire in me that is keeping me focused on projects that I love. Awakening Her is the book that will probably surprise you with its bold advice and constantly make you tempted to find evidence behind the findings in the book. While there have been numerous studies focusing on this topic, I still claim that the biggest evidence of love can be found within ourselves – the people. We don’t need scientific results, we just need to open our eyes and listen to our heart. Everything we need to know is written in our hearts. Everything.

However, we live in a world of quantity. No matter how powerful my sincere wish to help men understand and love women is, I still rely on numbers to deliver this message to the world. I need a mass of people that will support me on Kickstarter and spread the message among men and women worldwide. Nowadays, numbers play a big role in success. But I still believe that I can succeed this way. I believe that people will recognize that my book is different. I believe YOU will support my efforts on Kickstarter and thus enable me to reach the sky. I mean, why not? You’ll get a great book in return – something to have for life. The book Awakening Her is slowly starting to come together. The illustrator is working at full speed and I am very excited to share one of his drafts with you. This drawing captures the content of the chapter about the hidden communication among women. I call it women’s frequency. Have you ever felt it? It is that strange feeling that you get when you stand between two women and feel like a ball that is being squeezed between two walls.

The chapter also explains the differences between Alfa and Beta women. Don’t say that doesn’t make you curious. I know it does! I promise to upload an extract soon. Until then, feel free to read the extracts that are available here.

I’ve managed to get one of the best illustrators around to contribute his work to my book Awakening Her. I was excited when he shared first drafts with me and here I am sharing one of the drafts with you as well. That is a rough draft of the illustration for the Chapter 3 – 22 Shades of Women. Awesome, right?!

It’s a cold, wet January eve. Sixty days before the start of the campaign for the book. The hidden fear is slowly but surely rising from the hidden places inside of my soul. At the same time, people around me are smiling, giving me thumbs up and sharing their favorite motivational phrases with me. They want my book to be successful because they know how much faith and heart I have put into this project. But there is great fear inside of me, telling me that I won’t be able to let enough people around the world know about the book. So many books have already been written on this topic and so many of them turned out to be useless. I am an unknown author from a tiny European country nobody knows about. How can I convince people that my book is good? How can I convince people that my book is different? That my book is something they have never read before, despite the fact it includes famous theories. How can I make my book shine through the thousands of other books with shinny covers?

I can’t do that – not without a million dollar budget. I can only trust in my work and in the message of the book. I can believe in people who are passionately helping me without knowing if the book will be successful or not. One of them is an illustrator Mladen Melanšek, the only man who “dared” to contribute his male perspective to the book for men, which was written by a woman. I am eagerly waiting for his first drafts. I know his work will represent the vital part to the whole project, which is why I appreciate his efforts tremendously. I also appreciate the help of my friend Špela Črnič, who is translating my work into English. Her part is important as well, because she need to transfer my sentences into a foreign language without losing boldness and hidden meanings.  Of course, there are more people who are being supportive of me and my book and I am thankful for every single one of them.

My plan is to launch the book with the help of crowd funding and avoid being robbed by big corporations (meaning publishing houses) or being used by small ones. Too much work, love and faith was put into this project for it to be advertised as just another book on relationships. It is so much more than that.

If you decide to show your support, I can promise you that this book will change your life. That is the power of this book. Not because of my writing skills, but because of its source – the inspiration, from which it was created.

The end of the year is also a time for making conclusions and remembering the beginnings. Therefore, I cannot resist not telling you about how the story of Awakening Her has started. Please, forgive me for being sentimental at some points, but that is just the way it is with us women.

Once upon a time I was sitting at a beach bar in the peak of the summer heat. The sun was melting the ice cream in front of my nose and the sea was gently caressing the white hot rocks. A good friend of mine was telling me about an amusing theory of why men can’t understand women and women can’t explain to men what they want. Shortly after that entertaining talk, I immediately began to feel extremely inspired to write a book for men. From day one, I felt powerful will and motivation to kindly explain the real essence of her expectations to men. And I wanted to do this gently and with love, because I realised that nowadays, living with a modern woman in our society is anything but simple. Besides that, I have experienced men’s sincere wish to fulfil women’s expectations quite a few times. In fact, women in relationship are usually not able to explain to men what they really want, even if they would like to, because they often don’t know what they want.

For me, the process of writing this book was like walking along an unknown path and confronting life lessons. Every chapter was unique, yet all chapters somehow came back to the same basics. These basics are by definition so simple that one can take them for granted. And taking things, such as understanding, compassion and gratitude, for granted brings a lot of clashing into a relationship. Finding your way back, on the other hand, is very challenging; nobody taught us how.  But it is not impossible. After all, if we take away all the unnecessary clutter, we realise that we already have everything we need to live and love unconditionally.

What I wanted to explain above is that this story began very amusingly, continued somewhat seriously, became very serious and deep and, with some more amusing parts from everyday life, ended up as a loving work aimed to encourage men to love in their authentic way in order to awake femininity in women worldwide.

It’s time for us all to return to the basics and awake the naturally given love that lays deep inside of us.

By the way, I have just returned from a working meeting with my precious translator of the book and I am excited to inform you that I will be able to provide you with a content structure of the book and first “tastings” from the chapters before the beginning of the New Year.
